Medical profile

Our philosophy is simple. The medical requirements of a patient come first and foremost in deciding upon a course of action every time. This leads and dictates how every case is managed in order to deliver assistance that meets the needs of the insured and the insurer.

Our Medical Director, Dr Gurpreet Sidhu is highly experienced in aviation medicine and undertakes some of the medical repatriations. Specialty utilises doctors and nurses who are experienced in this very specialist medical field to facilitate the safe transfer of patients.

We need to be sure that the care of the patient is catered for in advance of repatriation in case intervention is required in transit. Thus, we ensure our medical escorts are well equipped. Advance preparation is imperative.

When medical emergencies arise, the first requirement is for urgent treatment and care in a safe, well-equipped and competent environment. Where this is not immediately available in the current location, evacuation is undertaken to the nearest appropriate facility. The process of repatriation can begin when the patient’s condition is stabilised.
